Each year we provided over 300 young people with over 2500 sessions in music and arts.

With weekly art & design, sound & lighting and guitar & drums session, monthly gigs and 6 weekly gallery art exhibitions, and one off projects exploring everything from mental health and World War One through performance art.

So many of our members have moved on to further education focusing on music and music technology and most are still performing regularly on the local or wider music scene.
We are still here for you!

We still have Rehearsal rooms and Recording opportunities - look on AAA Records tab for latest information.
Thanks for all your support and creativity- you still own this space so keep your ideas coming.

Getting our guitar fx tools ready for our film music!

In guitar group this week, we tried out a few special effects for guitar to create weird and wonderful noises!

We used:

The HOG (Harmonic Octave Generator) : Centre :
Takes your guitar and stretches the sound up really high or waaay down low everything from horror to insect noises... out there!

The Superego Synth Engine : Right :
Makes your guitar notes last forever!  Super-long sustain lets you tweak your tone to your hearts content, great for making 'atmospheric' sounds, also creates crazy pitch bends for those who want

The Slicer : Left :
Creates rhythms and grooves with your chords!  Great for action scenes, making industrial and machinery sounds, chases and rising tension

You know some chors, you know some notes, in Guitar Group we look to being creative as soon as possible, in weeks to come we'll be appling these guitar fx to our chosen movies to make alternative film soundtracks with our guitars!

If you have a guitar and want to make some movie-music, or anything else thats guitar-creative, join us!
