Each year we provided over 300 young people with over 2500 sessions in music and arts.

With weekly art & design, sound & lighting and guitar & drums session, monthly gigs and 6 weekly gallery art exhibitions, and one off projects exploring everything from mental health and World War One through performance art.

So many of our members have moved on to further education focusing on music and music technology and most are still performing regularly on the local or wider music scene.
We are still here for you!

We still have Rehearsal rooms and Recording opportunities - look on AAA Records tab for latest information.
Thanks for all your support and creativity- you still own this space so keep your ideas coming.

Getting Loopy!

Today we experimented with an app called loopy... make loops of literally anything and perform it!

What's great about making sound and music this way is that you can turn everyday sounds into something rhythmic or musical... have a listen to our first experiment, this is aaa members and youth music workers recording and perfirming with this quirky app for the first time!

Here is a pic of our loopy session:  we had all of our voices 'played' like instruments

There are great looper apps for iPhones, iPads and Android Phones/Tablets, as well as for your computer... many are free as well!

Try out:

iOS:
Loopy : Really useable, but there is a charge
Voicejam : Free!

Android:
Looper : Free, easy to use and a great start for looping

Mac:
Sooper Looper : More complex, but gives you a lot of options, and it's free!

PC:
Livid Looper : Free and pleasing to the eye... loops away!

Also check out the Don't Crack website ... links to loads of great and legit free music apps goodies!
